A little place with a very big heart
Playtime & Adventures began in Malta with a handful of children, a box of craft supplies and a belief that play is serious business. Today we run childminding, camps and activity days all year round — and we still know every child by name.
We're not a big institution. We're a small team who genuinely look forward to Mondays.

At Playtime, we believe every child is wonderfully unique, with their own personality, interests and talents just waiting to shine.
Our approach is simple: children learn best when they feel happy, comfortable and excited to take part. That's why we create warm, welcoming experiences where learning happens naturally through play, creativity, exploration and plenty of fun.
Our team is friendly, caring and approachable, creating an environment where children can feel at ease, be themselves, make friends and build confidence. Through hands-on activities, games and playful learning, we encourage children to explore new interests, develop new skills and discover just how much they are capable of.
For us, Playtime is about more than keeping children busy. It's about happy children, meaningful experiences and memories they'll want to come back for.

I just had to message you to say thank you. You have no idea how happy it made me to see my daughter's face on the 14th of August with you. You really do a wonderful job, Maria — I never stop recommending you to people.
You're so good at what you do, so organised, and the people you have with you are lovely too. Take this morning: we were rushing to get to work and got there early, and the moment we arrived she started clinging to me, not wanting to go in. Then the teacher who opened the door did her little bit of magic — abracadabra, wave to mummy, one, two, three — and off she went running and laughing, straight inside. The little things. It's the little things.
I can't start to explain how much my heart is at peace knowing she's with you. You really make my life so much easier. Five stars? No — ten plus. I love your summer school, your Halloween camps, your carnival camps. Anything you do, I love it all.

My son has been attending the Playtime & Adventures summer school for two years now and I have no regrets whatsoever. Last year he found it a bit hard — he was only three and couldn't understand why his kindergarten teacher wouldn't be with him over the summer. The whole team took that transition very seriously and gave him all the safety and reassurance he needed, and gradually he eased into it and was very happy.
So of course I booked again this year, and he was so happy that he walked straight in with no problems at all on the very first day. The teachers are lovely — they truly care for the children. Last year they used to hug him and give him all the affection he needed when he felt insecure, and this year, even though he's much more settled, they still give him that affection whenever he needs it.
The activities are always so well planned, and I can see from the photos that he's really taking part. While I'm at home it makes me happy to see him having fun and doing hands-on things. Every morning when I tell him we're going to school he's super happy, and when we arrive he just waves goodbye and goes inside.
Miss Maria has always been so helpful and reachable — whenever I message, she messages back quickly. You can tell she genuinely cares about every child and knows them personally. They're not just a number: she knows my son and she knows what he needs, and as a parent that means a lot. He's not just going to school so that I can go to work — he's happy, he's thriving and he's learning. I recommend Playtime & Adventures 100%.

As a parent, what I appreciate the most about Playtime & Adventures is how much thought goes into each and every single activity. It's so much more than just a place for kids to play. They work on their fine motor skills, creative expression, concentration and problem solving through hands-on sensory play and activities.
Our daughter Mila comes home every day super happy, proud of what they've done and excited to go back the next day. The atmosphere is top-notch and the staff are incredibly warm and attentive.

My children enjoy attending Playtime and Adventures. The activities offered are both fun and educational. My children were given the chance to bond with other children. A sense of community is felt both in the classroom and amongst the parents.
The entire team is dedicated and understanding. The children are not just a number but are truly cared for. My children felt valued and cared for especially when it was my son's birthday. The team made sure to make my son's birthday feel like a special day and instil a sense of community amongst the children. A big thank you for such a wonderful experience. The love, passion and patience Maria and her team has for the children is amazing! loads of activities and crafts like puppet shows, cooking sessions, real bunny show, sports day with medals and much more. He has been to the Carnival & Easter camp and now looking forward to the Summer Camp 2025!

A Truly Wonderful Childminding Service!
I can't recommend this childminding service enough! My daughter absolutely loves going here. The care and attention given to the children is incredible. During school holidays like Easter, Summer and Christmas, they organise fun-filled days packed with exciting and creative activities. It's such a fantastic concept – not only are the kids entertained, but they're also safe, supported, and genuinely happy.
Maria and her professional team go above and beyond to create a nurturing, joyful environment. Every time I pick up my daughter, she comes out beaming with a big smile and can't wait to tell me about her day. Knowing she's so well looked after gives me complete peace of mind.

At Playtime & Adventures, we believe that quality childminding should be about much more than providing a safe place for children while their parents are away. It should create meaningful opportunities for children to play, explore, interact and develop in an environment designed around their individual needs.
Our service is supported by The Childhood Hub, Malta's specialist advisory and consultancy service dedicated to Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC). Through this collaboration, our team benefits from professional guidance, training and ongoing support focused on high-quality early years practice.
Our approach places learning through play and child-led experiences at its heart. Children are encouraged to explore at their own pace, make choices, develop relationships and learn naturally through play and everyday interactions. Particular attention is also given to creating nurturing environments, positive educator-child interactions and experiences appropriate to each child's stage of development.
The Childhood Hub works alongside our team through professional development, onsite coaching and reflective practice, helping us continually evaluate and strengthen what we do.
This approach is grounded in evidence-based early years practice and aligned with Malta's National Quality Standards for ECEC and the Learning Outcomes Framework (LOF), giving parents confidence that play, care and development go hand in hand at Playtime & Adventures.
